Courtney Jordan

About

I’m a Nevada LCSW and Board-approved clinical supervisor with experience across private practice, community mental health, case management, and the VA system. My clinical background includes trauma and PTSD, anxiety and depression, caregiver burnout, neurodivergence and ADHD, substance use recovery, and working with veterans and military-connected clients.

My approach to supervision is practical, collaborative, and clinically grounded. I want supervisees to understand not just what they’re doing, but why they’re doing it—and to develop the confidence to make sound clinical decisions without feeling like they need someone looking over their shoulder forever. Supervision with me includes case conceptualization, treatment planning, documentation, ethics, boundaries, risk assessment, and the realities of working within complicated systems.

Clinically, I work from a trauma-informed, person-centered perspective and incorporate EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, parts work, and other approaches based on the needs of the client rather than forcing every client into the same framework.

I also believe good supervision should be a place where we can talk honestly about the parts of this work that don’t fit neatly into a textbook: difficult cases, mistakes, uncertainty, burnout, system frustrations, and the occasional “what the heck do I do with this?” moment. My goal is to help clinicians become thoughtful, ethical, confident practitioners while developing a clinical style that actually feels like their own.

I offer individual clinical supervision virtually to Nevada social work interns working toward independent licensure.
