Supervisor OnDemand
Finding qualified clinical supervision is one of the most significant challenges facing behavioral health interns in Nevada. The path to certification or licensure requires not only classroom learning and hours in the field, but it also requires a trusted, knowledgeable, and ethically grounded supervisor who can guide interns through the complexities of real-world clinical practice.
CASAT developed the Supervisor on Demand online posting in direct response to this workforce gap. By connecting interns with qualified clinical supervisors through CASAT’s OnDemand webpage, we are creating a centralized, accessible, and transparent resource that supports both the professional development of interns and the long-term strength of Nevada’s behavioral health workforce.
This project is part of CASAT’s broader Accelerate Career Pathways (ACP) initiative, which works to address critical shortages in Nevada’s behavioral health workforce by removing barriers to certification and licensure for those entering the field.
Why This Matters
Supervision is not simply a checkbox on the path to certification or licensure, it is a cornerstone of ethical, competent, and safe clinical practice. The quality of supervision an intern receives directly impacts the quality of care that future clients will receive. When supervision is misaligned, incomplete, or conducted outside the scope of the supervisor’s credentials, the consequences can extend far beyond the intern — they can affect vulnerable clients, damage professional reputations, and undermine trust in the field.
Supervisor on Demand was created with that responsibility in mind. We believe that every intern deserves access to a supervisor who is not only credentialed and experienced, but who is committed to integrity, transparency, and the highest ethical standards of the profession.
Integrity in Supervision
Clinical supervision carries significant professional and ethical weight. Supervisors listed through this posting are expected to uphold the following standards:
- Provide accurate, honest, and complete information in their posting. Misinformation whether about credentials, availability, fees, or areas of expertise is not only misleading to interns, it can cause real harm to their professional development and licensure timeline.
- Advise interns appropriately and ethically at all times, operating within the scope of their own licensure and training.
- Know and adhere to the specific supervision requirements set by the intern’s respective licensing or certifying board including required hours, supervision formats, documentation standards, and supervisor qualifications.
- Maintain current knowledge of board guidelines and update their post promptly if their availability, credentials, or supervision capacity changes.
- Recognize that supervision is a professional responsibility and a reflection of the entire behavioral health field’s commitment to quality care.
What We Ask of Supervisors
Qualified clinical supervisors who post through the Supervisor on Demand play a vital role in shaping the next generation of behavioral health professionals. To maintain the integrity and usefulness of this resource for interns, we ask that all supervisors:
- Complete the Supervisor on Demand Request Form (link) fully and accurately before you submit your application.
- Only accept interns whose credential pathways fall within your scope of certification/licensure supervision authority.
- Keep your post up to date. If you no longer accept interns, have reached capacity, or your credentials have changed, it is your responsibility to notify CASAT so your post can be updated or removed.
- Approach the supervisory relationship with transparency, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to the intern’s growth.
Supervisors who misrepresent their qualifications or availability, or who fail to follow board-specific supervision requirements, risk harm to the interns they serve and to the integrity of this project. CASAT reserves the right to remove any post that is found to contain inaccurate or misleading information.

A Note for Interns
Supervisor on Demand is designed to help you find qualified supervision — but it is ultimately your responsibility to verify that a supervisor meets the specific requirements of your certifying or licensing board before entering into a supervision agreement.
- Always confirm the supervisor’s credentials and licensure status independently.
- Review your board’s supervision requirements carefully before beginning any supervisory relationship.
- Establish a formal supervision agreement that outlines roles, expectations, hours, documentation, and fees before your supervision begins.
- If you have concerns about a supervisor listed on this platform, please contact us immediately.
CASAT does not vet individual supervisors or verify credentials independently. This platform is a connection resource only. The responsibility for verifying eligibility and forming a supervision agreement rests with the intern and supervisor.
