About
| Dr. Courtney is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Clinical Alcohol Drug Counselor. She has worked with individuals with depression, anxiety and has managed clients with suicidal thoughts. She practices from a Liberation Framework and her Doctoral project focused on how to talk about race in professional settings. Dr. Courtney opened her therapy agency in 2014 with several business partners. The journey taught her several important life lessons. She learned that it’s OK to step out on faith. She also learned that just because people start with you does not always mean they will finish with you. Since opening, two of her business partners have left the company but she and the remaining partners have persisted shifting and growing with an ever-changing mental health landscape. |
