Marie Cook

About

I have been in practice for over 50 years but must admit there is something new to learn or teach every day. I most enjoy working as an intern supervisor and educator. I manage on the philosophy that each person seeking help is a unique individual, including both clients and providers, helping them to identify the issues they believe they need to work on and finding ways to gain knowledge and skills accordingly. Am flexible in scheduling and processing modes.
I have extensive experience, being specialty trained in EMDR, Childhood Complex Trauma, Neurofeedback/biofeedback, and, have a gerontology certification I have incorporated many different therapeutic techniques based on the needs of each client, such as psychotherapy (talk therapy), CBT/DBT, and others. Also have used play & art therapy techniques. In addition to assisting providers, I also try to educate clients regarding their assigned diagnoses.
Supervisory sessions would be primarily individual and virtual. However there may be occasional group sessions scheduled, and may be opportunities for occasional face-to-face sessions, depending upon various circumstances related to all involved.
