About
Chrystal Rivera, LCSW, is the founder of Reset Counseling LLC. With over 15 years of experience, she specializes in supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and depression, with particular expertise in attachment, early childhood, child welfare, substance use and addictions, and trauma.
Her therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. Chrystal understands that parenting can often surface unresolved experiences and emotions. She meets clients where they are, helping them build insight, resilience, and healthier relationships without pressure to have everything figured out.
After becoming a mother herself, Chrystal’s commitment to this work deepened. She is passionate about helping parents break generational cycles, reduce mental health stigma, and develop emotionally connected parenting practices that strengthen the relationship they have with their children and themselves.
As a clinical supervisor, Chrystal is committed to providing interns with a supportive, collaborative, and growth-focused experience as they develop their clinical skills and work toward professional licensure. She believes supervision should be a safe space to ask questions, process challenging cases, build confidence, and grow into the clinician you aspire to become.
For Clinical Social Work Interns (CSW-I) pursuing licensure in Nevada. Sessions are structured to meet state requirements, including consistent weekly supervision and ongoing evaluation of clinical performance.
For Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) Interns and Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC) Interns who already have an approved primary supervisor. Secondary supervision deepens reflective practice and professional growth.
