When you think of the heart of CASAT’s academic programs, it is hard not to think of Debbie Leone.
Since 2005, Debbie has been the steady, smiling constant that students, faculty, and staff have counted on. Across every role and every transition, one thing never changed: she showed up with patience, warmth, and a genuine commitment to the people around her. She advised students, coordinated completion ceremonies, and fielded countless questions — all while making every person feel like they truly mattered. Because to Debbie, they always did.
She is the definition of a team player. Whether that meant stepping in for a colleague, mentoring a student worker, or simply being the person who knew how to get things done and made it look easy — Debbie was there. Her quiet reliability, grace under pressure, and can-do spirit kept our programs running smoothly year after year in ways that were easy to count on and impossible to replace.
To put it simply, Debbie has been our go-to person. She solved problems with a smile and left every corner of CASAT a little better than she found it.
Thank you, Debbie, for more than 20 years of showing up, caring deeply, and making CASAT feel like home for so many students along the way. Your legacy here is real, and we are so grateful for every single year of it.
