Advanced Certificate Program

CASAT Advanced Certificate Programs

CASAT offers two online advanced certificate programs for professionals who want to build specialized expertise in substance use and co-occurring disorders. The two options differ in entry point, focus, and Nevada licensure pathway:

  1. Addiction Treatment and Prevention Services: 12-18 credits post-bachelor’s or master’s degree; prepares for LADC licensure (substance use treatment focus) or will expand current professional expertise in a variety of  behavioral health topics focusing on substance use.
  2. Co-Occurring Behavioral Health and Wellness: 9–24 credits post-master’s; prepares for LCPC and/or LCADC licensure (co-occurring disorders focus).

Comparison of Nevada Clinical Licensure Pathways: Use this chart to compare Nevada’s clinical licenses to determine which pathway matches your clinical interests and career objectives. If you reside outside Nevada, review your state’s specific licensure requirements, as credentials and pathways vary by jurisdiction.
